During March 2015 SMALL ROOM STUDIO Productions presented an all new original  one woman play titled; veertig – ‘n Dramadie. it tells the story of a woman, Lorette, who’s to turn forty.

To Lorette, Age is a sensitive subject. who wants to become older, walk slower, look expired and see the end come closer? So, She decides to throw her own birthday party for an exclusive group of friends. The intention, to have a party like none before it. If you can’t beat them, party like them…or that’s what she’s got in mind. However, her weird 1800^th theme, poor planning and exclusive friends result to catastrophic events, each more entertaining then the previous.

With a spectrum of six extremely opposite characters, fall-of-your-chair humor and intimate entertainment, this production will take you on a ride of bafflement, shock, surprise and strange satisfaction.

The production is in Afrikaans. Not suitable for an audience under 16.

Veertig will play at the Galloway Theatre in Cape Town between the 2 – 4^th of July 2015.
